We're thrilled to embark on our third New York season - filled with site-specific performances, innovative intermedia installations, and politically-driven work. From the NYC Transit Museum to Dixon Place, Smashworks dancers will perform in multiple boroughs and share original work that targets the human experience. As director Ashley McQueen completes her Master's Thesis in Dance through Hollins University, the company dives into her research process - exploring the controversial use of the American flag in concert dance performance and the woman body politic in Trump's America.
Smashworks returns to CPR-Brooklyn for an evening length performance FOR WHICH IT STANDS - an intermedia dance piece featuring original sound score and projection installation that employs 8 performers who brilliantly explore a frightening world of absurd speeches, useless walls, and little plungers for little hands.
This season, Smashworks will perform in numerous dance festivals both locally and nationally, including:

On 1 Condition, Dixon Place - NYC
